When is ravennuke going to be available for download, as I intend to use it instead of pnc, and will I be able to migrate all the users info and forum posts over to raven from the phpbb forums that pnc uses. I'm very interested in the spam blocker that code-authors has written, as I am sick and tired of deleting spambots, and their posts as well as banning them. |

There's always a way but it won't be compatible out out the box due to the differences in the structure and logic. |

No, but it has two other features that you might fine useful:
1. Ability to set it so that there is NO activation email (so, auto registration), and
2. Ability to use SMTP instead of PHP mail().
The reason I mention these two is that sometimes folks ask us for "approve membership" as a means of getting around the issues caused by hosts locking down the PHP mail() function.
However, after each release of RavenNuke, I will update my Approve Membership Lite hack, which does what I think you might be looking for. My commitment is to release the new version within two weeks of a RavenNuke release. Right now, the version I have is for RavenNuke 2.10.01 (currently the latest). |
