1.Would it be possible Raven to create some groups for us. I would like to see how the groups work. If they are dependent from forum groups and modules/user groups.
2. I like the advertising site stats.
3. Html News letters archive is nice
anything else i missed besides code?

We'll try to get that set up. What exactly do you need to test? |

after typing this reply about 5 times with different answers and trying to figure out how the groups are set up and work, possible uses for groups. I kinda figured that the groups are correct and im just a dumby. Sorry the misunderstanding on my part.
I was confusing all the groups to be the same. I think now I have figured out how to use the groups. There seems to be 3 seperate groups, right?
edit: after thinking about it for a sec. I realized that the User group/points dont seem to be able to link to groups created in the nuke admins (Edit Groups) or the forums. Im still trying to find a use for these groups with point. |

You are correct. Here is an explanation of the groups:
User Group/Points - This is a core PHP-Nuke feature where you can set up user groups and the number of points a user would need to have to automatically be placed into that group. In the User Group/Points administration tool, you determine how many points a user gets for doing certain things within nuke. Once a user breaks through the User Group's points threshold that you set for a particula group, they are given the "priviledges" for that group. To be honest, I've never seen how this functionality is all that useful. I can only find that it controls access to modules (but I haven't taken the time to look through every Nuke feature to know what it "drives", but I would hope that it would at least control forum access too... but, who knows?
Edit Groups - This is NSN Groups. This one is much more functional. You create the groups and YOU assign users to those groups, or use something like NSN Paypal add-on to auto-assign users based on the subscription that they choose. With NSN Groups, you can control modules, blocks, messages and forums. You can also replace the PHP-Nuke Downloads module with NSN GR Downloads and then even your downloads can be based on these groups. I also have the HTML Newsletter both NSN Groups and NSN GR Downloads "aware".
Hope this helps. |
